Who is Alina?

As a child, Alina Protsyk never imagined that one day she would be involved in politics.

Alina came to Denmark at the age of 14 and grew up in a deeply politically engaged environment. In the 1990s, democracy began to flourish in Ukraine, and Alina learned that if you are dissatisfied with the state of things, you can take responsibility, get involved, and make an effort to create change. This is the motivation that she brought with her to Denmark, where her path as an active citizen began.

In 2012, Alina founded “Lastivka,” the largest and oldest cultural association for Ukrainians in Denmark. Today, she is a member of the Brønshøj-Husum Local Committee and an overall active member of Danish society.
Alina has firsthand experience with integration into Danish society from her teenage years. As an immigrant, it takes that extra step to become equally aligned with the other citizens. She wants to use her own experiences to make integration more effective. After many years in Denmark, Alina knows Danish culture, traditions, and the importance of a community. She now thinks and speaks like a Dane.
Alina is a trained graduate engineer and has been an entrepreneur with two successful companies in recruitment, production, and investment. She has run a translation agency and has worked for 3F, COWI, and BDO. She has also served as chairperson of the PIF study program association.
Currently, Alina works as a teaching assistant with Ukrainian children at a local school. She understands the challenges these children face daily and therefore wants to focus on their wellbeing.
Like many others, Alina is concerned about the future of the climate — a future she wants to make more sustainable, innovative, and green. Her education, ideas, work ethic, and strong willpower are ready to make this a reality. The only thing she needs is your vote. Help Alina make a real difference for children, integration, and the green transition.
